Combine videos with transparent areas and CGI props This way, they can be easily configured to match the original illumination of the footage. Set these panels to be self-illuminated, as well as not receiving and not emitting shadows, so they’re unaffected by the light conditions of the scene. Using these panels with real footage as background and CGI props in the foreground means that we can move the camera to create a cool parallax effect. IClone enables you to use videos as a texture by simply dragging and dropping the video file over a billboard prop. Here are some top tips to help you make the most of iClone’s compositing tools. It’s an excellent way to speed up animations, saving a lot of time and effort in post-production. Working like this, the whole scene can be rendered in a single step, and there is no need to create render layers for compositing. Working with iClone, what you see is always what you get, so we don’t need to wait for slow renders and further compositing operations to be sure that the shots have been properly arranged. We can control the effect of the lights and the cameras, observing the interaction between all the elements of the scene in real time. Particle effects and atmospheric effects can also be included in the scene, and similarly interact with the billboards.īeing able to mix video billboards with 3D models is very useful. For example, you could simulate the flickering light emitted by screens or TVs very easily, but it’s also possible to illuminate the 3D models in a very convincing way using real footage of explosions, fires or atmospheric effects. This enables you to illuminate the CGI objects within the set using a light that perfectly matches the images they contain. If you’re using tessellated planes, you can also include displacement maps to create depth deformation in your surfaces.Īs all the elements are part of the same project, the lights within the scene will automatically interact with the billboards – so the billboard within the scene will cast shadows over its surrounding 3D models, and vice versa, depending on where the lights are placed.įinally, it’s possible to set the billboards so they’re light-emissive. This means it’s possible to define masking areas, making part of the billboards transparent. ![]() There is a box to check for Clean Install select (check) that box.The video footage or still images used as textures can be edited like any other material used in your project. Select Custom install carry on to the next pane. Select Graphics only (no GeForce Experience). (If AMD graphics were installed at one time you would want to run the tool again - set it to AMD then clean those remnants out) Run the recommended “Clean then restart”. On the tool you select Graphics type then Nvidia. If you are using a PIN it will ask for the actual password after running safe mode.) (This isn’t essential and you will need to confirm you have the windows password before you do so. I like to boot the computer into safe mode then run the DDU tool. ![]() (it will extract to a folder called DDU) * Then unplug the Ethernet or disable the Wifi to avoid Windows automatic driver installation. Have you tried a Clean uninstall/reinstall using the DDU tool.ĭownload the most recent Nvidia driver (you may still have it).īasically you extract the uninstaller from the download. If my specs are at play here here are my PC specs: So I don’t know what to do unless Blizzard themselves address this issue in the next big patch or Hotfix, because for some reason despite Nvidia Driver 431.60 saying it resolved the issue, its still flickering for me. Like being in Zandalar, Kul’tiras, and Naz’jatar is fine.īut Stormwind City has the flickering issue as well as Silithus. So all I did was only lower the graphic setting to Good Liquid Detail that only disables the Full Reflection feature.Īnd usually it flickers only in select areas of the Game. Basically for some reason the game at the moment cannot handle the Liquid Detail at High/Ultra settings because that gives the Full Reflection Detail and it appears the texture flickering is the game bugging up the full reflection at the moment. So after reading more about this issue someone recommended to lower the graphic settings to fix the flickering and it worked for me.īut in my case I found the specific/exact graphical setting that causes this issue and its only the liquid detail settings.
